Our monthly meetings are held on the second Saturday of every month from 10 AM - 12 PM. We currently do not have a permanent location. Please check the main page of the website or Facebook page for details on this month's location.
We are a very welcoming group. We are not going to care if you come in using a stroller or carrying your baby in their car seat to a babywearing meeting. We are not going to mind if you are happy with the carrier you already have and just want to come hang out (in fact, we hope you do! We love community.). We also welcome people from all walks of life. Additionally, we encourage you to bring your partner, parents, or any other support person you would like to bring. Big kids are also absolutely welcome (I have a 7 and almost 5 year old that attend)!
These meetings are free and open to the public. Anyone interested in babywearing is welcome to come.
When you come inside, take the left to find us in a large room. You can't miss us, promise. You will be greeted by a lovely volunteer to help you sign in. All adults must sign in on their own line.
You will find people in orange and blue headbands. People in orange are your educators. We'll help get you fitted, teach you how to use carriers (whether it is your own or one in the library), and other ways assist you in whatever you might need. The people in blue headbands are the volunteers and educators-in-training. These folks are going to help you check out carriers, sign up to become a member, and the likes.
If you want to borrow from the library, please bring $10. If you would like to become a member, please bring $30. Membership benefits can be found here.
There is a hallway and bathrooms. Feel free to use either or stay in the room to change your baby. You may feed your baby wherever you feel comfortable as well.
We understand that many people are shy and nervous to come out to a meeting for their first time. We hope this helps ease any fears or pressure of the unknown.
